1986

   Born in Stoke-on-Trent, followed in father's footsteps and became a journalist, finally on the Daily Mail in Fleet Street. Moved to Public Relations in London and Edinburgh, then became a fund-raiser for the building of the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. Now retired!

 Was it a dream?

In the haze of a summer’s day in the secret  Edinburgh garden, near Arthur’Seat, did I for a moment see a stately folly by the glorious chestnut tree?

And was that really the Chrysler Building, rearing through the shrubbery?

Was it?

Was it a dream?

¿Fue un sueño? 

¿Entre la bruma de un día de  verano en un  jardín secreto en Edimburgo , cerca de Arthur'Seat,   ¿vi por un momento un majestuoso 'capricho' cerca del espléndido castaño ? 

Y ¿era realmente el edificio Chrysler , lo que crecía entre los arbustos? 

¿Qué fue? 

¿Fue un sueño?
