366 vertical insights in the private life of RGF for a better understanding of his work by the 'accidental navigator'. This project will be made with one year + a day of images and texts.
01 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
WHAT DID I BUY IN... What
did I buy in the Eolian Islands? well... nothing, but in the pumice stone mines in Lípari, I found
wonderful obsidiana pieces to give as a present.
02 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
VISIT. Diana H. (the
other day): 'Today I have entered into that magic world and
today, because of that, I felt happy. '
03 - 05 - 03: MADRID. Indeed, I don't have the
slightest intention of going
to see the Pope and to get lost among the millions of new saints'
followers...
04 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
EVERY DAY. In the morning
I refill the water bottle (the one that I am painting in the work 'Emptiness')
05 - 05 - 03: MADRID: ARRIAZA.
Nobody told to the 'dark ' swallow that a
smoke exit hole is not
a place for hanging a nest. The mistakes (although involuntary) have to be
paid.

Plaza de España. On a rainy day (going to buy a new laptop)

Totó, Cocó & Vene still impressed
with the fireworks... in the new laptop. (Stability or immobility in their state of well-being?)
09 - 05 - 03: MADRID: MUSIC.
The painting I'm working on ('Emptiness' from the Signs of Extintion series) has
-among others- the music by Leó Ferré
that Melissa
gave me.

ONE YEAR AGO IN...
LA CORUÑA. It has taken me 45 years
(at least) to climb again the Hercules' tower...

LA CORUÑA. No, it was not Arriaza
Island amid a Galician field. It was the house of P.
Reboredo's father.

Although Madrid is one of the best places in the world to
live in, now when the heat arrives, I only think of going back to Edinburgh.

J. Infante, (an Andalusian who doesn't like olives and
is not superstitious), presented his new book on a Tuesday 13th!!

MEMORIAM. A painting, a scenario? I cannot come closer, I prefer to remember
him as he was. In Memoriam Julio Toquero.
15 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
ARRIAZA. The invitation to Monica and Sacha's wedding in August, arrived
with a map showing where the medieval church is located... in Sweden! 
16 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
THE OTHER DAY. L. Alas showed me the screen saver of his
ultramodern mobile phone: my 1985’s work 'The gift of the word' where he and Agustín appear.

TO. Sacha (a few days in Madrid).
And what a better wedding present that his 'portrait' as a San Sebastián,

TO. Félix R. Among the things that
he brought from his trip to Burma was an odd (and not very safe) preservative with spangles...

(The
other day) Silvia
L. (together with Manolo
R. and a friend) brought me the drawings of the exhibition 'Trazos de
Galicia'...
and tales and projects.

Antonio R. will
also be in the ' Signs of extinction' series 
21 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
ARRIAZA. After been lost for several
days,
Jorge O.'s 'facsímile' finally arrived.
22 - 05 - 03: MADRID:
THIS THURSDAY EXHIBITION. In
the early 70's,
Angel Busca and I were partners in the Madrid Fine Arts School.

MADRID: (BODY) DECAY. How clumsy!!
24 - 05 - 03: MADRID: (SOUL) DECAY. Three hours
watching the Eurovision Song Contest (and it was not so bad!).
25 - 05 - 03: MADRID: SUCH
A WASTE OF TIME. Going
to vote... and not being able to do it... because my name (I don't know
why) has disappeared of the
voting list!!!!
26 - 05 - 03: MADRID: VISIT
TO. C. Luengo moved to his
new studio three years ago ... and I haven't been in it. (Every year time
seems to be shorter).
27 - 05 - 03: MADRID: CRUISING
CORNER. Calle Vandergoten -
Calle Andrés Torrejón. In a sunny day (on the way to the photographic laboratory) 
28 - 05 - 03: MADRID: VISIT.
It was a quick visit by Diana H. to see 'her' painting (this time accompanied by Joaquín Z.)
29 - 05 - 03: MADRID: BOOK.
I
finished on time the Vicente Molina Foix's (very good) book ' The vampire of
Mexico street' before going to spend summer in Edinburgh.
30 - 05 - 03: MADRID.
Although the heat was oppressive, I had to
go out to collect (in Fotosintesis) the enlargements of two pictures
from the LLTTUSA
series.
31 - 05 - 03: MADRID: VISIT
TO. When I arrived to Ciuco G.
studio, I realized that I was
wearing my polo shirt inside out!!!
