366 'horizontal' insights (one each day) in the private life of RGF for a better understanding of his work by the 'accidental navigator'. This project will be made with one year + a day of images and texts.

 
 
  01 - 06 - 01: LA CORUÑA: After the opening of Carlos' exhibition we all went to have dinner.
  02 - 06 - 01: TUY: My cousin Fernando Y.G. came to show me the photographs  of his 1st. solo exhibition
  03 - 06 - 01: ORENSE: Cathedrals or mosques... only for a break on the road (always cold places)
  04 - 06 - 01: DANGER ON THE CITY: A wire tore down José Luís's jacket when we met in Alcala street.
 05 - 06 - 01: BERLIN, ORDER AND CHAOS: The dome of the Reichstag... stunning and we hardly had to queue to enter.
 06 - 06 - 01: BERLIN, ORDER AND CHAOS: We met Bruce in Edinburgh... twenty years ago. Today we were walking along what is left of the wall.
  07 - 06 - 01: BERLIN, ORDER AND CHAOS: Suddenly, amid a forest on the outskirts of Postdam, appeared the 'Einsteinturm' (more daring that the new towers in Postdam Platz!!)

  08 - 06 - 01: BERLIN, ORDER AND CHAOS: The 'cultural center' Tacheles is maybe the last outpost of what is left of Berlin´s alternative culture movement

  09 - 06 - 01: BERLIN, ORDER AND CHAOS: Of all the hotels in which we stay in Berlin, the best pool (and jacuzzy) was the one in the Grand Hyatt (hotel designed by R. Moneo, of course)
  10 - 06 - 01: SUMMER IN EDINBURGH (always since 1977): Home at last...and the Parliament's works still going on!!
  11 - 06 - 01: RITUAL: One of the first things I do when I´m back in Edinburgh is to see my weight and write it down in a used train ticket (I have lost 2 Kg. since September)
  12 - 06 - 01: MUSIC: The painting I´m working on ('Agenda completa I -II') has -among others - the music of J.S.Bach (Concerto Nº 1 in F major)
  13 - 06 - 01: CONTRADICTIONS: Yes, Edinburgh is a very beautiful city and getting dirtier all the time and with more people, cars and  buildings out of place, but... I still like it here.
  14 - 06 - 01: June 14th, a day of various celebrations...
  15 - 06 - 01: In Edinburgh, when it rains, it rains.
  16 - 06 - 01: Many birds, lots of birds, but I still have not seen the fox that lives in the garden.
  17 - 06 - 01: PRIVATE GARDEN: Long walks in the garden late in the afternoon... almost the best thing in Edinburgh!!
  18 - 06 - 01: Going to the cinema at 3 p.m. is something that in Madrid I find unthinkable, but here I can't find a better time.
  19 - 06 - 01: EVERY DAY: From the shower I can see a fake tree growing from the wall.
  20 - 06 - 01: Two more etching to finish the AT series? and David's future projects... going to Basle!!!
  21 - 06 - 01: It is a tradition that in the longest day of the year, people climb Arthur's Seat to watch dawn. I have never done it
  22 - 06 - 01: It was 7 a.m. when the fox turned up at the garden of the Gracies...
  23 - 06 - 01: ' We are family'  banner lead the ' Gay Pride' parade across Princess Street
  24 - 06 - 01: Every year I find the sun hurting my eyes more and more. Could it be that the ozone layer is getting thinner?
  25 - 06 - 01: VISITOR: Manolo Ch. comes to photograph Scotland
  26 - 06 - 01: SUCH A WASTE OF TIME : Waiting to be picked up at Ikea... and pouring with rain!!
  27 - 06 - 01: In a C4 TV program, a couple of British yongsters  tried to stay 2 weeks without drinking alcohol, and they managed to do it!... but it didn't change their lifes
  28 - 06 - 01: DANGER IN THE CITY: Children are a danger. A false step  and...
  29 - 06 - 01: POSTCARS FROM SCOTLAND: ' Fish & chips' is one of the typical gastronomical delicacies that I  dont't feel like tasting
  30 - 06 - 01: PRIVATE GARDEN: The Spanish chestnut  that we plant in 1994 is now much bigger than when I painted it in 1997.
